Split and combine MP3 and WAV files by resorting to this responsive piece of software that allows you to work with finesse without being complicated in any way
Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner is an application that you can use to easily split and join audio tracks with the MP3, WAV, WMA, APE and CUE extensions.
The interface of the program is clean and easy to work with. You can import an audio track by using the file browser only, since the «drag and drop» method is not supported.
When it comes to trimming songs, all you have to do is select the splitting mode (by time, by parts, silence detection), choose an output directory (same as input folder or custom), add pieces to the list and start processing.
In the list you can check out then name, path, start and end time, duration and metadata of each piece. The merging process is similar (optionally insert silence between songs).
In addition, you can edit the title, artist, album, genre, year, comment and number of each track, disable Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner from saving ID3 tags, change the interface language, and more.
The audio processing tool requires a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a comprehensive help file with snapshots for all user levels and quickly finishes a task without freezing, crashing or displaying errors.

Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner has a pretty long history with lots of various improvements, tweaks, new features and modifications. But changes in the latest version are so important that we decided to give the program a new name. Meet Visual Audio Splitter & Joiner!
Over the years, Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner accumulated a lot of new features. Despite its name suggesting that the program worked with MP3 files only, Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner also supported WAV files from its very first version. Later it was also taught to split and join WMA files. After this, the program started to cut and merge APE files.
Nevertheless, its name was still Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner. These additional features were, well, additional. Only MP3 (and WAV) files were split and merged directly. Support for APE and WMA files was pretty limited: Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner converted them to WAV and then joined or cut the WAVs (depending on the selected mode). The resulting files were in the WAV format.
The new version is different. Now both APE and WMA files are split and joined directly, just like MP3 files were from the very first version of Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner. And that’s how the program got promoted to Visual Audio Splitter & Joiner.
So, APE and WMA files can now be cut at pauses, by CUE sheet, by time, visually, by number of parts / size / equal time, and you can join many APE and WMA files into a single file (but only within the same format: APE with APE, WMA with WMA). The resulting files will be in the APE / WMA format respectively. No conversion takes place, no temporary WAV files are created, the program absolutely keeps the original quality of your audio files.
Support for MP3 files was also significantly improved. Visual Audio Splitter & Joiner can now successfully deal with various non-standard extensions of the MP3 format. If previously you converted some MP3s to split them in Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner, you no longer need to. Visual Audio Splitter & Joiner will handle this for you without any conversion. So, these files are now split and joined directly, too.
All in all, Visual Audio Splitter & Joiner is better! And it’s still part of Media Pack. If you have a registered version of Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner 9.1 (or any other version, starting with 8.0), just download and install Visual Audio Splitter & Joiner 10.0. The upgrade is free!
