This has happened to me a ton of times. The only known fix I know of is to delete the player file of the affected player in the world folder. When the affected user logs in again he will log in to your main world @ spawn and will not die everytime he ports or changes worlds.

At the moment my server is having issues with people going to other worlds and dying instantly. It currently only effects about 3 people, but it is very annoying. Out of the four worlds they can only travel between two of them. Even using God mode, creative mode, /mvtp, portals, tping to players and having players tp them the problem still happens. If anyone has any information on this issue i would be delighted to get some help. Thanks in Advance.

There are many things that could cause this, but Multiverse’s Teleport method is unlikely. Please post an issue on GitHub with A LOT of details. (https://github.com/Multiverse/Multiverse-Core/issues)

Throughout our testing (and myself using this on the server I play on) we’ve not seen these.

We did notice when 1.8.x came out, the efficiency of the vanilla server dropped pretty good so that may be where you’re seeing this.

Should work fine, I’ve spoken to the Bukkit team about those errors, and they’re just useless spam. (apart from the NPE on essentials) As you can see those errors occur after the server is shut down.

Great plugin, but since I updated from 1.7.2 to the latest version, I’ve been having problems with lag. It seems that once someone respawns, or tries to go to another world, the entire server freezes for about 5 seconds. This is very annoying.

Wait for 2.1, I’m not totally understanding what you want, but I think it’s fixed in 2.1. Maybe tomorrow night. *sigh* too much stuff to do.

How do I stop the Game Mode Changing for the admins when they enter the world I only want to Prevent the Game Mode changing but want to keep the world as survival

I got an error message when reloading my server after placing the core in the plugins folder.

Sorry I wasnt demanding lol, I was stating that I asked a question before and it was too long and confusing, so I was telling everyone to ignore that question and read my new shortened version of the same question.

Yeh I can imagine that being a crazy memory hogger, reminds me of WoW back in the days (2 years ago). You’d try to go into an instance when one has been updated and you couldnt get in because there were so many people in them :P.

Its a nice idea though, I think. Just imagine being sent on Adventures from a certain world into another.

I asked a question, I have a question. Chill man, they are working hard on updating right now.

Anyway, currently, no. With a little java magic, you could, if you were using a large ram disk, house an unloaded version of your world and load them on the fly, creating individual instances. You would have to hook into the MV API to load a world and change the TP destination to a predetermined location on the newly spawned world. This could get very ugly over time though. Just imagine 20 instances of the same world. Total memory hog!

Maybe in the future, but probably not for a while, especially with 1.9 looming in the distance.

I asked a question

I am wondering if its possible that in Multiverse, you have your world. but you have a portal to another world. In this other world only one person is allowed in that world instance, but many people can be connected to the same world, in a difference instance.

The reason being, I have a personal server, just for myself and family. I wanted to build a room called «The Challenge Room» for example. And you walk in there and there are portals with signs around them, telling the user what kind of challenge world the portal would take them to.

When they want to do a challenge, they walk into the portal and be transported to this other world.

Then I would like them to do the challenge. Once they complete the challenge, they go through the portal back to the original world. but if they go back in the portal again, the world was reset back to it’s original state.

Remember only 1 person is allowed in their own individual instance in this challenge world, so lots of people can use the same world at the same time, but they would only see themselves and noone else. (unless you can specify how many people are allowed in an instance)

Is this possible at the moment?

If not maybe in the future you could make it possible?»’//

multiinv doesn’t fix it. take your own advice.

So i just set up a creative world and have a Portal going to it. Im having a problem tho. Whenever members or Admins or Mods go to the world it switches them to Creative with a separate Inv but whenever a Op goes into the world it doesnt switch the gamemodes. I’ve tried checking the config for it and everything and googled stuff but i cant seem to figure out why. Please help

Try using quotations around the name.

/mv remove ‘world name’

If that doesn’t work try

/mv remove «world name»

Help me. I’m deleting some of my worlds but the names have spaces and the command does not work with spaces in the wold name

Example My example name: world name I try /mv remove world name And then it’s says I’m typing the wrong name

Is there a away to save a player’s location in a world then when they go through the portal to that specific world, they will teleport to that location instead of the mvspawn or set destination?

not really, i had 6 maps on my server, after start stopping it wont load off the cpu and it was the only plugin running using 1.6.2 dev of bukkit, OWNERS NEED TO FIX THE PLUGINS

That is not the purpose of this plugin. This plugin is a multiworld managing system, that also allows you to run custom generaters. I’m pretty sure that you can find a plugin that does one or both of those things.

would be awesome if the devs would update this plugin or to make it so you didnt need to cheat how the worlds load otherwise it takes bout half a hour to load to ‘Done’

So I think it’s Multiverse that’s resetting my gamemode to 0/survival everytime I joine server/change worlds. How do I prevent this? I just want it to persist across worlds, and when I rejoin the server. I’ve been just having to change manually for a long long time. Help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a thriving economy and I don’t want it wrecked. I tested it myself on a server running 1.6.2 and managed to fill my pockets with diamond blocks over five times. So not only is it there it’s repeatable. It was my first time trying it and I didn’t have the timing but even so I managed to do it repeatedly.

I’ve found reports of this exploit going back 2 years but I can’t seem to find a fix for it. Can anyone help with this? I really want this in case we get the new biomes for 1.7, so I can keep my old map as well.

Hi, i run a 1.6.2 bukkit server with this plugin because i have a prison with deferent places. But in 1 of the worlds i cant mine? well i can but it dosent give me items back. Please help: DarkNessCraft.ro.lt

I’m giving up on this plugin, it has had an exploit for over 2 years that allows you to bring an inventory from a creative world to a survival world quite easily. Nobody has answered me on it, and I can’t find a patch for it so I’m using another plugin now. If these guys want to stick their heads in the sand that’s their prerogative, I however, have a server to run and an economy to keep clean. The exploit is easily replicated, load your inventory in creative, then type /home or any other Essentials command that teleports you, like /spawn. Just as you hit enter, open your inventory. I’ve tried this on a number of 1.6.2 servers and it doesn’t take long to get it to work. It’s just a matter of timing. It doesn’t work every time, but it IS frighteningly easy. I really hope they patch this, but it seems to be both long standing and ignored in the hopes it will go away. If you’re running parallel survival and creative worlds on a server then this is something you need to look into, especially if you have an economy.

Hello. Im having trouble with people respawning. When ever someone dies in the Pvp world it teleports them back to the main world. It does the same thing for CTF, Spleef, And Survival Games. Someone please help me.

EssentialsSpawn already overrides MV spawn settings by default. Check to make sure that you have respawn-listener-priority set to high or highest.

get essentialsspawn to work with MV. use essentialsspawn to set the spawn points per permissions group. that will override the world spawn settings from MV

hi guys,
just having an issue with the on first join spawn feature, I read its glitchy with bukkit (suprise). Is there a work around for this. Ive just spent forever setting up a new world and spawn building, all that jazz. set up all the spawnpoints and changed what i needed to according to the docs. but new players still spawn in the original default world! can some one point me in the right direction?

I am getting a glitch when i import/create a new world the server crashes and it will keep crashing until i delete the folder please update the plugin

Could be because of lag. Maybe your server isn’t powerful enough?

Hi, i got this World Trade Center world i want to import soo i type /mv import tradecenter normal But i just end up in a flat world! The world is a flat world but its nothing in it when i import it, Please help @MultiverseTeam

I know it works for 1.5.2 but when is it going to be updated i noticed some bugs/glitches but the most annoying one is i change the config then reload the plugin and then the config goes back to default! anyone got some solutions?

I’m having a glitch with my time, when I remove multiverse my sky moves smoothly, yet with multiverse installed the sky moves a little then jumps back then moves again and then jumps back and repeats until it moves around a full cycle.
each glitch interval the actual time moves a few ticks and not the full interval it should.
if I compared it using a ruler, the sky moves about an 1″ inch then jumps 7/8″ of the inch backwards and continuously repeats. it really only moves 1/8 of an inch each time it glitches, if that makes any sense. this only stops if I remove multiverse

Remember to use /save-all command.

Actually, you can use world based permissions for that.

If you use PermissionsEX then use modify world. It has more features than antibuild. Above is the PEX permissions setup for world based permissions. here is some info about modify world. https:github.com/PEXPlugins/PermissionsEx/wiki/Modifyworld

Try editing the files when your server is stopped.

Be sure to use the correct capitalization. For example, if your world’s name is «CreativeWorld», then you would need to type /mv remove CreativeWorld (remove from config) or /mv delete CreativeWorld (delete world + remove me from MV).

Once you remove a world from the config, then it won’t regenerate. Must’ve been another plugin or your edits didn’t save properly.

Hey there! Wonderful plugin, but I’m having issues with Multiverse remembering the full name of a server after restart. What I mean by this is; I have 5 servers & these are their folder names.

Naberius(PVP)[1.5.x] (default world) Solvium(PVP)[1.4.7] Arcycius(PVE)[1.3.2] Royalion(PVP)[1.2.5] Pandonia(PVE)[1.1.2]

However in the Multiverse-core/worlds config file they are seen as.

This results in them being unable to load correctly & thus needing to be re-imported anytime I start the server back up. It seems that Multiverse doesn’t recognize the full folder name if it has a (.) «period» anywhere in the name & cuts off recognition at said period. I’ve been able to get around this by switching all of the (.) periods to (-) hyphens, which makes the main server folder look messier than what I would like it to.

All & all, wonderful plugin.. This isn’t that big of a deal, but its my only gripe. So if it’s not too monotonous/time consuming do you think you could make multiverse recognize the (.) periods in the server folder name during the next update? Please & Thank you! =)

some of these people who run servers. You gotta wonder. You have such basic problems. yet you bitch or complain. When really its no ones problem but your own for some issues. It’s funy when people yell at plugin dev’s because there plugin fucked there server up.

Well news flash for ya, 60% of the time, its not the plugin.

But its your server and how you have things layd out. Dont bitch at a plugin designer. They only help.

Anyway. Ihad had no problem at all since bukkit keeps doing USELESS FRIKAN updates. Has caused my server and plugins to do really weird things..one issue I had. Multiverse randomly generated a world and set it is a the mainworld. I deleted the world from the server and from multiverse but than found out. Multiverse re-generated it again. It’s caused alot of errors and things to go wrong.

PS. I can fix it. Im just asking why is it doing that, or how
